Jimmy Hall began his career in the telecom industry in 1998. After holding key executive roles focused on services and operations at Bellsouth, AT&T and 3-GIS, Jimmy joined Velox in 2022 as president. Jimmy believes in creating a supportive work environment where employees can achieve their highest growth potential, and he has a passion for maximizing business operation efficiency. When he isn’t driving Velox forward, you will find him traveling or spending time with his family.

In 1994, Danny Johnson discovered his passion for telecom at Federal Electric System as an electronic/substation technician. After five years, he joined Bellsouth where he met Jimmy Hall and Harry Fox. At Bellsouth, he was a service technician, splicing technician and manager of construction and engineering. These roles prepared him for his position at Velox as vice president of business development. Following the footsteps of his father, Danny is excited to see how the telecom industry continues changing and the part Velox will play in it.

Paul Sulisz is a data-driven operating executive with 15+ years of experience scaling companies across telecom infrastructure, services, and software. Known for his”Bias for Action” and servant leadership philosophy, Paul has led buy-and-build strategies, turnarounds, and growth initiatives that consistently drive EBITDA improvement and long-term enterprise value.

Most recently, Paul served as CEO of GridSource, a large-scale telecom infrastructure platform, where he executed a tuck-in acquisition and delivered meaningful improvements in safety culture and operational efficiency. Prior to that, he held executive roles at Congruex and served as Global CEO of Biarri Networks, where he led the company through a successful exit in 2022 following nearly a decade of bootstrapped growth.

Paul holds dual degrees in Electronics Engineering and Information Technology from Queensland University of Technology.

With over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Chris Helms specializes in process and workflow optimization, while focusing on end-to-end program management. He has overseen the planning, design, and engineering of multiple city-wide FTTH deployments (local and international) and long-haul/middle-mile projects, as well as thousands of as-built postings and project close-out documents. Chris strives to meet the expectations of customers, partners, and other key stakeholders.

As Vice President of Operations, Brandon oversees business development and construction operations for projects nationwide. With over 25 years of telecommunications management experience at leading companies such as Northstar Communications, BellSouth, and AT&T, Brandon brings a wealth of expertise in navigating the complex requirements of successful network construction. He leads his team with a commitment to delivering robust, long-lasting networks, ensuring every detail — from logistics and resources to equipment and manpower — is meticulously planned and executed.

Charles McElroy Sr. began his career in the utility business at Pulaski Electric System in 1989. Over the course of his 30 years in the industry, Charles gained experience through multiple positions including lineman, crew foreman, general foreman and director of safety. As the Velox safety director, he is the subject matter expert for all things safety, ensuring that each of our crews in the field adhere to the most stringent safety regulations.

Brett began his career in professional services at Adtran. Over the past decade, he gained insight into different perspectives of the telecom industry and became hooked on its ever-changing challenges and growth. Brett joined the Velox team in 2024, ready to help communities connect through fiber networks. As our director of business development, he drives the development and growth of business relationships while prioritizing strategic plans that best meet customer needs.

Michelle brings 20 years of experience in management, sales, and support roles to the team. She supports strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth while streamlining processes that enable our business development team to thrive. Michelle is passionate about contributing to the expansion of fiber infrastructure, building strong relationships, and ensuring that business development initiatives are executed efficiently and effectively.

A founder of four separate global startups in the telecom and utility industries, Tom believes in prioritizing enterprise value and instilling excellence within Velox. His experience in building companies from the ground-up allows him to drive all company operations forward, while focusing on integrity, expertise, efficiency and respect. Outside of work, he is involved in several private and community organizations including the Huntsville and Decatur Chambers of Commerce, Morgan County Entrepreneurial Center, Alabama Robotics Center, Alabama LaunchPad, and Leadership Alabama among many others.
