HUNTSVILLE, AL – (October 27, 2022) – Velox LLC is excited to announce it has been awarded a one-year contract with Huntsville Utilities to construct fiber infrastructure bringing fiber internet advancement to their expanding systems. Scheduled to begin this month, the project will help close the digital divide and make reliable internet available to more homes.

Recently named the fastest-growing city in Alabama, Huntsville has an immediate need for rapid fiber expansion to provide better internet service for smart-city and smart-grid operations, schools, remote employees and local businesses. Headquartered in Huntsville, Velox has a team dedicated to building the fiber network that will serve our thriving community.

“We prepare our team to exceed expectations on every project, but this particular project is special to us since it’s in our own backyard,” said Jimmy Hall, president of Velox. “As Huntsville expands, there are going to be more
and more communities to build out, so this project plays into the bigger picture of providing broadband and economic growth opportunities for all.”

Providing broadband infrastructure throughout Huntsville will “future-proof” the growing city, ensuring residents have access to high-tech services and quality internet as the workforce moves to an increasingly digital world. With experience tackling different terrains and environments throughout the Southeast, Velox is prepared to tailor construction plans to best meet the needs of the area.

“Our fiber infrastructure is critical to advancing our operations and providing better services to our community,”
said Stacy Cantrell, vice president of engineering at Huntsville Utilities. “We’re excited to have Velox on board to

Velox Adds Splicing Division and Announces New Executive Team Members

Huntsville, AL-based telecommunications contractor is meeting the growing need for fiber

HUNTSVILLE, AL – (August 11, 2022) – Velox LLC announced the opening of its new fiber splicing division and
the addition of two executive team members within the last month, including a safety director and splicing division
manager. With the need for fiber infrastructure rapidly growing throughout the Southeast, Velox is expanding its
team and resources to meet customers’ needs.

After the pandemic and shift to more people working from home, communities need fiber. As more networks
develop, fiber splicing teams will help build and maintain those networks, allowing them to function as efficiently
as possible. With over 30 years of combined experience, the inaugural members of the fiber splicing division will
develop and implement processes that will establish Velox as a trusted leader in building high-quality fiber
networks, while eliminating the need for additional splicing vendors on construction projects.

“With the rapid growth of the telecommunication industry, we’re aligning with that growth to better serve our
customers safely and efficiently. This investment, along with hiring a career builder for recruitment, will allow us to continue serving our clients with the support, efficiency, and attention to detail they have come to expect from
Velox,” said Tom Counts, CEO of Velox. “Whether we are expanding our team or our company divisions, all growth
is meticulously and deliberately done in a way that embodies our values and the Velox Way.”

In addition to the new division, Velox has strategically grown its executive leadership team.

Safety Director – Charles McElroy Sr., from Pulaski, Tennessee, began his career in the utility business at Pulaski
Electric System in 1989. Over the course of his over 30 years in the industry, McElroy gained experience by holding
a variety of positions, including lineman, crew foreman, general foreman, and director of safety. As safety director,
he will be the subject matter expert in safety, ensuring Velox adheres to the most stringent regulations and keeps
team members safe in the field.

Splicing Division Manager – With 16 years of experience in the telecom industry, Robert Queen began his career
in the field as a cable technician. Queen worked his way up into fiber optic mainline splicing and has spliced fiber
across the country, including FTTx, backbone, long haul and more. His understanding of splicing techniques and
expertise will allow Velox to offer more telecom solutions to customers, including fiber splicing for network builds
and standalone services.

“We’re thrilled to add team members to Velox, especially with new projects on the horizon,” said Jimmy Hall,
president of Velox. “Each team member brings unique skills and expertise that will allow us to take customer service
and project quality to the next level.”
